Reserve your new home

When you've decided which home you want to buy, complete a reservation form and pay your first deposit.

Appoint your solicitor

Once you've reserved your new home, you will need to appoint a solicitor to help you with the legal aspects of the sale. We will need their details so we can move things along.

Get your mortgage set up

We can put you in touch with our appointed mortgage brokers, First Mortgage, if required. First Mortgage are experts in the mortgage market, especially for new build properties.

Sign Missives

This step commits you to the purchase of your Dundas home. Your Solicitor will oversee this process.

Move In

On move in day your Solicitor will make final arrangements for the outstanding balance on your new home to be paid. Then you’ll be handed the keys!

Things to think about

Keep the following in mind when you're planning your move

Know your budget

The first thing to do is to make sure you know exactly what you can afford to spend - especially on your mortgage costs. Do a careful budget to see what your monthly out-goings are and how much you're earning.

Understand all the costs

Remember that moving house comes with a number of unavoidable costs and budget for these. They include moving costs, legal fees and land and building transaction taxes.

Don't give up too soon

You may feel that you just can't afford the home of your dreams – but don't give up. We'll let you know about the financial assistance that's available and point you in the direction of mortage advice that could make things possible.

Be realistic if selling your old house

If you are selling a home to make a move to a new-build, be realistic about how much you might receive for your property and about how quickly it will (or won't sell). Take advice from your estate agent and plan accordingly.
