4 Summer Interior Trends

We’ve pulled together four of our favourite interior design trends from this summer to help you decorate your new Dundas home.

Rustic Simplicity

Scandinavian and Nordic design isn’t going anywhere this summer. Scandinavian style interiors are based on simplicity and a functional, minimal aesthetic. Whites, greys, blacks and light neutrals really come to life with some summer sun coming through the window. Bring in elements of natural wood and woven fabrics to make your house feel more like home.

Pop of Colour

Coral and more natural, earthy oranges and pinks are on trend this summer. Pantone named Living Coral as it’s colour of 2019. It’s a natural, inviting colour that really brightens up modern interiors. Add some excitement with red cushions or rugs and add a touch of colour with some coral kitchenware.

Mixing Patterns

Mix and match patterns to complement a minimal interior. Use a statement print to add character and interest into the room - why not mix a patterned rug with a complementary wallpaper pattern?

Plants

Bring the outside in to brighten up your new home. Keeping a few house plants improves air quality, reduces stress and helps with sleep - so grab a few for your new house to have a relaxing summer.
