A hat trick and 5 stars for Calderwood Village
In September this year, Calderwood Village netted its third prestigious industry award, winning ‘Best Residential Development in Central Scotland, at the UK Property Awards 2016-2017.
The win was made extra special last week when it was announced at the awards ceremony, that Calderwood Village attained a Five Star rating, one of only two developments in Scotland to receive this rating.
Already this year, Calderwood Village has been awarded best large private development at the Homes for Scotland Awards and large housing development of the year at the Scottish Home Awards.
Speaking about the award, Bruce Dunlop, Managing Director of Dundas Estates, said: “Winning ‘Best Residential Development in Central Scotland’ was a terrific achievement and to now know that the award was a Five Star rating is the icing on the cake.
“2016 has been an unprecedented year for awards at Dundas and I am very proud of the team’s hard work and well-deserved achievements.
“I would also like to thank all our residents who continue to make Calderwood Village a warm and friendly community.”
The UK Property Awards are sponsored by the Telegraph and judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts, with a focus on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness, Lord Best, Lord Liverpool, and Lord Thurso, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.
Calderwood village, the first ‘Yours’ Sustainable Community in Scotland, is designed around the idea of community and outdoor space. The development has proven to be a great success and plans are now in place to expand the village to provide a further 210 family homes over the next four years.
