How to Buy Your New Home

At Dundas we aim to make the purchase of your new home as simple and straightforward as possible. These are the key stages you will go through:

1. Choose Your New Home

The first step to buying your new home is to find the property that fits your needs. Consider location, size and budget. Use this website to make your initial choice, then get in touch with us for more information.

2. Come and Meet Us

We’d love to meet up with you to discuss your choice of new home. Visit our sites and you’ll get a first hand impression of our new developments, while our on-site show homes will give you an example of the quality of our workmanship.

3. Reserve Your Home

Once you have made your decision to purchase a new Dundas home, the next step is to complete a reservation form and pay your first deposit.

4. Appoint Solicitors and Financial Advisers

Once you’ve reserved your new home we will need your Solicitor and Financial Advisor’s details to be able to move things along. We can help with this if required.  Lifetime Planning are experts in the mortgage market - especially New Build and they are our appointed Mortgage Brokers.  Click here to visit their site.

5. Sign Missives

This step commits you to the purchase of your Dundas home and your Solicitor will oversee this process.

6. Choose Options

Once missives have been signed we will work towards the completion of your new home. Depending on build stage you will be invited to visit our Sales Centre to choose no-cost options (such as colour schemes) and optional extras from a range on display.

7. Inspect Your New Home

As your move in day approaches we will invite you to inspect your new home. You can check that your new home is as you expect it to be. You’ll also be shown how the boilers, appliances and other aspects of your new home work.

8. Move In

On ‘move in day’ your Solicitor will make final arrangements for the outstanding balance on your new home to be paid. Once the funds have been transferred we will call you to arrange the handover of your keys and you’ll take possession of your new home.
